Robin came on the live show last Tuesday, Fifty Shades of Shadow Work: What Happens When Integral Gets Kinky, to talk about her journey into the world of BDSM, (bondage, discipline, sadism, masochism). Before that, she and Jeff had a more in-depth conversation which we’re posting here for those who want to know more about Robin’s life.
About five years ago, Robin experienced a sexual awakening that spurred her to take her first tentative steps into the world of BDSM. She tells how this awakening freed a tremendous amount of energy inside her.
Robin also talks to Jeff about the pre/trans fallacy involved in the dominant/submissive polarity, and how important it is that we gain an integral understanding of consent; a thorny issue that’s in the news a lot lately. “It’s not binary,” she says, “It’s a moving target.”
