A complaint arises in the pre-modern punditry about Osama Bin Laden’s burial at sea:

Sean Hannity:

The victims of 9/11 didn’t get a decent burial. I don’t know why we would owe that to bin Laden.

Glenn Beck:

100 years ago we would have carted his corpse from town to town, and charged money to see it.

Yeah, guys, and a couple hundred years before that (developmentally speaking) we would have cut off his head and put it on a spike in the town square. And before that we would have eaten his liver and drank his blood. Times change, thank God.
